Gecko’s and Pelicans with Coffee

In the stone cottage where I lived along the Walsh River I had this lino block print leaning against the wall next to my kitchen table. Sure enough, there were geckos who had found a safe refuge behind its shelter. I remember spending a lot of time sitting at this table sipping my coffee, writing letters back home, sketching, pondering, wondering what was next … while watching the gecko’s play peek-a-boo.
